Our commitment to our patients is reflected in our everyday work. The quality care and humane treatment we provide, our desire to constantly improve, the mission we have set for ourselves, and our devotion to that vision are evidence of that.
We are well aware that our patients come to us because they trust us to take care of one of their most valuable possessions: their health. We take our role in this effort very seriously, and are committed to acting with respect, honesty, tolerance, and empathy.
The idea behind Galenia Hospital would first be introduced toward the end of 2004. Aware of the vulnerabilities and medical needs in Cancun and the Mayan Riviera, a group of local businessmen would launch a third-level hospital to address those regional concerns.
On March 10th, 2006, Galenia Hospital would open its doors to the public, in the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma, which would hit Cancun the year prior and have a long-lasting impact.
We would then set our minds to becoming more than a hospital, and start building high-level facilities, as well as a multidisciplinary, effective, homogeneous, and accessible healthcare system. . We are currently working towards achieving one of our main goals, which is to transform Cancun into a medical tourism destination.
We are a private hospital that offers super-specialty treatment through the use of cutting-edge technologies and innovation. The quality and safety provided to our patients is our number one priority.
Thanks to the relentless work and dedication of our medical team, Galenia Hospital is considered the most important hospital in southeastern Mexico as well as the first institution since 2012 to work under a quality framework that meets both national and international standards, as recognized by the General Health Council (CSG), Joint Commission International (JCI), Accreditation Canada International (ACI).
The focus of our organization is specialization and medical tourism, establishing as key elements the three dimensions of quality, interpersonal quality, technical quality and comfort, to provide safe processes to our patients and offer medical services of the highest level of medicine.
