Facilities
Neonatal care:
This is a specialized medical care unit for premature and full-term newborns, responsible for providing precise, continuous, and immediate care to these patients who present with pathophysiological alterations that have reached a level of severity such that their lives are at high or potential risk, yet at the same time, they have conditions that suggest a possibility of recovery.
Within this care unit, there is a designated area for admitting patients born within the hospital who require immediate or intermediate management, as well as external patients (from other institutions) who are managed independently for better infection prevention and control. We have specialized physicians trained in the management of premature infants or newborns with complications at birth or during the first 21 days of life; in addition to a multidisciplinary team for neonatal care.
Nurseries
It is a space specifically designed for the care of healthy newborns requiring immediate care after birth, including conditioning and close monitoring during the first few hours, and rooming-in is encouraged.
It is a restricted, secure area monitored 24 hours a day. Services offered in the nursery include expanded metabolic screening and hearing screening, allowing for the timely diagnosis of birth defects.
We also have pediatric and neonatology specialists available to provide follow-up care for newborns in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Delivery room
The obstetrics area, better known as the labor and delivery room, is where the stages of labor are monitored and observed until birth. This area is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for monitoring and caring for both mother and baby, ensuring their health during this challenging transition. When the time is right for delivery, the patient is moved to a room similar to an operating theater where the birth is attended to under strict hygiene and anesthesia protocols. Afterward, immediate care is provided to the newborn and mother during their recovery.
This area is considered a high-security zone, isolated from contamination and the risk of infection. Therefore, the staff working in the obstetrics area are highly specialized to guarantee safety and quality for both mother and baby, making it a positive experience.
Neonatal intensive care
Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a specialized area for premature newborns or those with complications during delivery. The unit is equipped to admit patients born within the hospital who require immediate care, as well as external patients.
It is a place where highly trained doctors and nurses provide 24-hour monitoring and care to babies.
In the NICU, we encourage early bonding between parents and their babies. Our staff is dedicated to providing comfortable and safe support for the patient and their family until the baby is well enough to be discharged.
We have the latest incubator system, which provides a thermally neutral environment, ideal for premature babies from birth until they are able to regulate and maintain their body temperature. The incubators also generate humidity to protect the baby’s skin and purify the air they breathe.
