Accreditations and Certifications
We are the only hospital in Mexico to hold the four most important certifications in the world.
Joint Commission International (JCI)
At Galenia Hospital, we take pride in being one of the only 7 hospitals in Mexico to hold this certification for hospital services, as it is the most recognized internationally and has the longest history. This certification reflects our commitment to excellence in patient safety and care, and serves to recognize that our healthcare services meet the highest international standards. It demonstrates an organization’s overall commitment to quality and showcases excellence in specific areas by promoting better outcomes through integration and coordination of care.
The standards evaluated by the Joint Commission International accreditation provide meaningful measurements to improve the quality and safety of patient care across all clinical and administrative functions of the intensive care hospital, as well as driving continuous performance improvements. When an institution demonstrates high levels of patient safety and care, this accreditation is awarded for a maximum period of three years.
International Accreditation Canada (IAC)
This program, called Qmentum International, is based on the prestigious Canadian health model that has been developed through extensive research and experience.
The Qmentum International standards of excellence cover the entire continuum of healthcare. Organizations in all sectors of healthcare use the core standards, while service-specific standards are applied to clinical services based on their safety profile.
There are also standards for effective organization, infection prevention and control, and medication management that are specifically tailored to smaller organizations. The Qmentum International Accreditation has three levels: Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Galenia Hospital was accredited at the Platinum level, demonstrating full compliance with international standards, and was also granted accreditation for international travel services.
General Health Council
We are part of the exclusive 10% of hospitals in Mexico that have this certification.
The Certification of Healthcare Establishments is the recognition granted by the General Health Council (CSG), a collegiate body that reports directly to the President of the Republic and has the status of a health authority, to healthcare establishments that voluntarily participate and meet the necessary standards to provide services with quality and safety to patients.
The Patient Safety Model of the National System for Certification of Healthcare Establishments (SiNaCEAM) is based on the design and implementation of secure processes through continuous improvement of the quality of healthcare services and the safety provided to patients, as well as promoting participating institutions to maintain competitive advantages to achieve, sustain, and improve their position in the environment.
Health Travel Services - Canadian Accreditation
Accreditation allows for a favorable association of ideas with the country and type of healthcare system. Accreditation is a key component in health tourism as a determining factor that complements articles from the Medical Tourism Association focusing on physician and institution reputation, country attractiveness, price, accessibility, political stability, and others.
International accreditation has become the benchmark for international quality of institutions, gaining even more importance in developing countries. Accreditation promotes patient-centered care and serves as an external review of risks and appropriate implementation of standards to ensure process efficiency, balance physician and institution reputation, and destination attractiveness. Additionally, accreditation enables the identification of risks and the reduction of adverse events to prevent damage to the reputation of the healthcare system.
SECTUR - Health Tourism Distinction
The Ministry of Tourism grants us this distinction as a healthcare institution that meets the standards of the service model and attention to specialized tourism markets.
Having this seal means that we address and take care of aspects such as communication, facilities, transparency of products and services, as well as education for foreign patients. In this way, we are a reliable and high-quality hospital to attend to medical tourism patients.
Membership in the Mexican Consortium and the National Association of Private Hospitals
These are private and independent organizations from different regions of the country that come together to strengthen the relationship of the Private Health Sector in order to maintain a unified presence and promote certification of participants in different quality standards.
Global Network of green and healthy hospitals
Hospital Galenia has joined as an ACTIVE MEMBER as it has expressed its commitment to reduce its climate footprint and promote public environmental health, in addition to committing to work on the following objectives:
Energy | Waste
